This is from Tax Associate level, studying or part qualified, through to experienced Tax Directors.

Specialist Area

In London, the key Tax Service lines I cover are Private Client Tax, Corporate Tax and VAT. I work with a range of firms from the listed top 100 practices to independents and boutiques.

My Advice

Take the time to analyse your strengths and where you see your career trajectory including any specialties you may want to focus on. Whilst a larger firm would provide great overall exposure you may not be able to specialise in one area compared to a smaller/boutique firm.
Being able to ascertain why the firm you are meeting is of interest and how they can specifically help you develop will go a long way to helping you secure your ideal role.

My Background

I started my career in 2014 as a Tax Assistant within an independent firm in Essex before transitioning into a London based firm in 2022. During this 8-year period, I focused on Private Client Tax completing both compliance and advisory projects for a range of clients from OMBs, High Net Worth Individuals and Non-Residents/Domiciled.

In 2023 I made the switch to recruitment focusing on the tax market within the UK. Ultilsing my knowledge of the market, candidates and clients have allowed me to excel within the recruitment space.

I now work for Morgan McKinley in the highly successful Professional Services division as a Senior Recruitment Consultant in the Practice Tax Division. I cover service lines such as: Personal Tax, Corporate Tax and VAT.

My goal is to continue to build out the Morgan McKinley Tax brand in the Professional Services space, ensuring we are the go-to agency in London for candidates and clients alike, whilst providing excellent service and consultancy insight.
