My Advice

My advice for all job seekers is:

1. Be Yourself – Authenticity is important throughout the interview process. Employers want to understand not only your technical skills, but also how you approach problems, work with others and fit into the wider team. Be honest about your strengths and development areas and focus on what you can bring to the organisation.
2. Do Your Research – Before interviewing, find out as much as you can about the organisation, its industry, financial performance and growth plans. Understanding the wider commercial side of a business can be particularly valuable when interviewing for commercially focused Finance positions.
3. Be Patient – The job search can be frustrating and time-consuming, particularly when you're progressing through lengthy interview processes. Not every opportunity will be the right one, so perseverance is key. The role you miss out on can often make way for an opportunity that is a much better fit.

My Background

I started my career with Morgan McKinley in January 2025, initially looking after the Marketing and Digital Permanent recruitment desk across Dublin and Cork.

I moved to Ireland from Australia, bringing three years of recruitment experience from Melbourne, where I worked across Marketing, Digital and Communications recruitment. My previous experience covered both contract and permanent recruitment, initially specialising in Industrial Manufacturing, FMCG and Retail before moving into a Public Sector and Not-For-Profit recruitment specialisation.

I have since moved into Accounting & Finance recruitment, specialising in the Dublin market. With five years of recruitment experience across a range of sectors and specialisms, I now bring that experience into the Finance market, supporting businesses with their permanent Accounting & Finance hiring needs.
