My advice to candidates is to be clear, intentional, and prepared. Before applying for a role, take time to understand what the position truly requires, how your experience aligns, and what value you can bring beyond what is written on your CV. Employers are not only looking for technical fit, but also commercial awareness, communication style, motivation, and long-term potential.
Be honest about your career goals, salary expectations, and reasons for moving. A strong interview is not about giving perfect answers, but about showing self-awareness, preparation, and a clear understanding of why the opportunity makes sense for you. Candidates who can explain their achievements with context, numbers, and impact usually stand out the most.

My Background

I began my career in banking before moving into recruitment, giving me first-hand experience in financial services and candidate advisory. Prior to joining Morgan McKinley, I worked in recruitment across banking, financial services and HR, supporting clients and candidates across a range of mid to senior-level roles.

My earlier experience in banking has helped me understand the expectations, pace, and commercial realities of the industry. Today, I combine that market knowledge with a consultative recruitment approach, helping candidates navigate career moves thoughtfully while supporting clients in identifying talent that fits both the role and the business.
