Tech/Operations Co-Ordinator
Introduction
The Authority currently has several projects underway, one of which is to deliver cEMV payment to Local Link services.
The role requires coordination of the rollout of the cEMV contactless payments solution to Local Link services nationwide, working with the solution provider and the Local Link TCU (Transport Coordinators Units) to deploy, manage, and maintain the solution with multiple transport operators.
Indicative Responsibilities
- Managing release schedule for TCUs regarding the cEMV project.
- Managing day-to-day operational support for the existing ticketing solution as needed.
- Working directly with the Operations Support Engineers to coordinate the deployment of the cEMV solution.
- Managing the device repair/replacement process for TCU and transport operators.
- Deliver training and support to bus drivers and operational staff, in-person or remotely as required.
- Representing interests in other the organisation forums and project initiatives.
- Collaborating with other the organisation teams, managed service providers, contractors, and subject matter experts (SMEs) on incident/request ticket resolution and task delivery.
- Developing and managing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (the organisation Rural Transport Team, TOs, Suppliers, etc.).
- Keeping management and stakeholders updated on the status of services and related projects through regular status reports and SLA/KPI reports.
- Developing, documenting, and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Knowledge Base articles.
- Experience with using service management tools such as ServiceNow.
- Ensuring services meet compliance criteria and maintaining supporting documentation.
Essential Criteria
Please note: In order to satisfy the shortlisting panel, candidates must meet these criteria:
- Hold a minimum of an NFQ degree level qualification in a business or engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in IT hardware deployment and application support.
- Experience managing, monitoring, and meeting SLAs and KPIs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver training and support to a varied audience.
Desirable Criteria
The ideal candidate will also:
- Hold a project management and/or operations management qualification (ITIL desirable).
- Have experience or working knowledge of the public transport industry.
- Have experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering and process mapping.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Have the ability to deal with sudden changes in agenda, direction, or speed of action.
