Morgan McKinley seeking a detail-oriented and commercially-minded Buyer/Planner to join a dynamic FMCG team in Dublin. This is a permanent opportunity to play a key role in the end-to-end supply chain planning and procurement process, supporting operations aligned to the North American market.
As a Buyer/Planner, you will be responsible for purchasing, inventory planning, and vendor management, ensuring optimal product availability while minimizing costs and waste. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, sales, logistics, and finance teams across global time zones.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan and execute procurement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support North American operations
- Monitor stock levels and forecast demand based on sales trends, seasonality, and promotional activity
- Issue and manage purchase orders with local and international suppliers
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any delivery or quality issues
- Optimize inventory turnover and reduce excess/obsolete stock
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Analyse data to track KPIs such as fill rate, supplier performance, and forecast accuracy
- Support new product launches by ensuring materials are sourced and delivered on time
- Collaborate with the US-based team to align supply with demand and market needs
- Maintain ERP system data accuracy, including lead times, order quantities, and supplier details
Key requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a Buyer, Planner, or Supply Chain role within the FMCG or related sector
- Willingness to work US business hours (e.g., 12pm - 8pm IST)
- Strong knowledge of demand planning, procurement, and supply chain operations
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (preferred)
