Job Specification: Production / Warehouse Operator
The Production/Warehouse Operator is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing and warehouse operations, ensuring products are produced, handled, and stored efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. The role involves operating machinery, assembling products, performing quality checks, handling materials, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Operate production machinery and equipment in accordance with safety and quality procedures.
Assemble, pack, or process products following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Carry out routine quality checks and record results accurately.
Report equipment faults, quality concerns, or safety risks promptly.
Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and logs.
Receive, pick, pack, and dispatch goods following company procedures.
Load and unload deliveries safely, manually or using equipment (e.g., forklift/pallet truck).
Store materials and products in designated areas, ensuring correct stock rotation (FIFO).
Carry out regular stock counts and support inventory accuracy.
Prepare orders for shipment ensuring correct labelling and packaging.
Comply with all health & safety policies, PPE requirements, and workplace regulations.
Keep work areas clean, organised, and free of hazards.
Follow manual handling best practices.
Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean, waste reduction).
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly.
Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
Essential:
Previous experience in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
Ability to perform manual handling and stand for long periods.
Basic mechanical aptitude or familiarity with operating machinery.
Desirable:
Forklift licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach).
Experience with stock management systems (e.g., WMS/ERP).
Experience working in a regulated environment (food, pharma, FMCG, etc.).
