We are seeking a proactive Purchasing & Procurement Specialist to support ours clients efficient purchasing, sourcing, and stock control within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure material availability, maintain optimal inventory levels, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily purchasing and stock control activities, including raising and tracking POs.
* Use ERP/MRP and Min/Max systems to forecast requirements and plan materials.
* Monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery issues, and drive corrective actions.
* Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Warehouse to optimise inventory and prevent shortages or overstock.
* Support process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, stock-taking, and procurement reporting.
* Negotiate supplier pricing and delivery terms and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Requirements:
* Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years' experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or stock control, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
* Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Excellent communication, organisation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
* Ability to work proactively, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities.
