Job Description

A leading healthcare tech company in Singapore is looking for Clinical Informatics (Senior) Analyst

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform mapping and review
    • Perform mapping and review of descriptions and codes used across healthcare systems to standard terminologies and/or classification systems, e.g. SNOMED CT, ICD, LOINC, SDD, NHDD, and Singapore Medicine Supporting Terminology (SMST)
    • Identify semantic equivalences and differences across datasets in order to perform mapping of healthcare data from different systems or data models

  • Develop editorial and mapping rules
    • Support the development of editorial and mapping rules to enable consistent authoring and mapping of codes

  • Author and manage terminology code sets
    • Analyze code and code structures in order to author and manage terminologies and/or classification systems consistently for the purpose of unambiguous information exchange

  • Analyze and apply codes and code sets
    • Understand the contextual use of standard terminologies and/or classification systems in datasets and systems, and provide recommendations for use of code and code structures in the design of information exchange
    • Identify gaps and provide recommendations to arrive at harmonization of disparate data from different systems or data models

  • Support clinical information systems and capabilities
    • Provide support in the areas of requirement gathering, design, testing and deployment of clinical systems and technologies
    • Assist clinical users in ensuring clinical data quality and patient safety in all clinical IT deployments
    • Support clinical IT programmes and advocate the use of clinical informatics standards and best practices

  • Engage stakeholders
    • Communicate with stakeholders on the use of standard terminologies and/or classification systems, and gather requirements to derive benefits from the use of these terminologies and/or classification systems according to business needs and system functionalities


    • Nursing, medical, or allied health degree
    • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience preferred
    • Meticulous and timeline driven
    • Good written and communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills
    • Able to understand medication-related data and how it integrates with clinical workflow
