    • Drive Operational Excellence: Identify and implement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, service delivery and overall cost effectiveness.

    • Lead & Develop Teams: Inspire, coach and develop warehouse, transport and supervisory teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.

    • Optimise Warehouse Performance: Drive improvements across space utilisation, stock accuracy, inventory management, order fulfilment and warehouse processes.

    • Manage Transport Operations: Oversee transport planning, route optimisation, fleet utilisation and delivery performance, ensuring an efficient and reliable customer service.

    • Champion Continuous Improvement: Lead operational improvement projects, challenge existing ways of working and introduce innovative solutions to enhance performance.

    • Manage KPIs & Performance: Establish and monitor key performance indicators, using data and insight to drive productivity, service levels, quality and profitability.

    • Ensure Compliance & Safety: Maintain high standards of health and safety, transport legislation, fleet compliance and operational governance.

    • Support Business Growth: Work collaboratively with commercial and senior management teams to support new business opportunities and ensure operational capability meets future demand.

    • Manage Costs & Resources: Take ownership of operational budgets, labour planning and resource allocation, ensuring the effective utilisation of people, equipment and assets.

    About You

You are an experienced logistics leader with a strong operational background and a passion for developing people, improving processes and delivering results.

    You will ideally bring:

    • Proven management experience within a warehouse, transport, distribution or wider logistics environment.

    • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing and developing multi-disciplinary operational teams.

    • A demonstrable track record of driving operational improvements and delivering efficiencies.

    • Excellent knowledge of warehouse management, transport planning and distribution operations.

    • Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, cost control and operational profitability.

    • Experience managing KPIs, performance targets and service-level agreements.

    • A proactive approach to problem-solving, decision-making and continuous improvement.

    • A strong understanding of health and safety, transport legislation and operational compliance.

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

    • Transport Manager CPC or an equivalent industry qualification is desirable.
