My client is currently hiring for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to security incidents across the organization's information systems and networks. This role ensures the protection of critical data, maintains the integrity of IT systems, and supports the organization's overall cybersecurity posture. The analyst works closely with IT, engineering, and business teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and maintain compliance with relevant standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor security infrastructure and system logs to detect anomalies or potential cyber threats.
- Analyse and respond to security alerts, conducting preliminary incident investigations and escalation when needed.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts with IT teams to reduce security risks.
- Administer and optimize security tools, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and monitoring platforms.
- Track emerging threat intelligence and recommend preventive security measures or control enhancements.
- Support compliance initiatives by following established security standards and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Contribute to security awareness efforts by assisting in training and promoting secure user behaviour across the organization.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding of networking principles, operating systems, and cloud services.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel), EDR platforms, and vulnerability scanners.
- Knowledge of common attack vectors, malware types, and security frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GSEC, or similar are a plus.
