An innovative organisation within the energy sector are transforming the power system for future generations. A state-owned commercial company is looking for a Senior Regulatory Revenue Specialist to join the Group Regulation team.
This is a hybrid role based in Dublin 4.
The Group Regulation Team is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic approach to regulatory matters which align with the ambitions of the Group and has a pivotal role to play in supporting the delivery of the Groups'Corporate Strategy in Ireland and in the evolving European energy landscape, including the energy transition, offshore development and European matters including future interconnection.
This includes management and development of regulatory relationships, development of regulatory arrangements, revenue frameworks and price reviews, formulation of Group Regulation Policy, management of the Customer Charging process for connecting parties in Ireland, and oversight of regulatory compliance and all relevant licensing, regulatory authorisations and consents.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as primary point of contact for business functions and senior management providing clear, concise and timely advice with a key focus on regulatory revenues
- Support regulatory deliverables and interactions
- Lead specific complex regulatory revenue deliverables and act as a point of contact for the Regulatory Authorities
- Assist the Economic Regulation Manager in coordinating and compiling price controls
- Become an expert in upcoming and current priorities of the business functions, analysing their regulatory aspects, providing timely advice and input of high quality where required
- Lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary groups in the delivery of regulatory programmes
- Work to ensure key revenue and related framework compliance objectives are delivered on time and are consistent with regulatory requirements
- Develop key internal and external stakeholder relationships to support delivery of regulatory requirements
- Procure and manage external consultants, as required, to support delivery of regulatory compliance requirements.
About You
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, at least 5 years post qualifying experience operating in strategic roles.
- Have an ability to quickly grasp, synthesise and retain significant industry knowledge, including Regulatory Decisions and Domestic and European Legislation.
- Ability to develop a strong network of key internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of regulatory requirements.
- Ability to guide, persuade, influence and challenge others through developed skills of communication and diplomacy, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to draft and review documentation in a rational, evidence-based, clear and concise manner.
- Ability to think creatively and use own initiative.
- Experience of drafting policy papers independently and as part of a team for publication.
- Proven qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities, coupled with the ability to make reasoned judgements based on available information.
- Experienced in using financial models.
- Experience in carrying out complex revenue calculations.
- Experience working within the Energy Industry.
