A leading Global Tech organisation is looking for a Senior Accountant with strong technical knowledge to join their team.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will work as part of the Order to Cash Accounting team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This role is a fully remote position with the option to work from the office if required.
This is a 6-month contract position (potential for extension).
Responsibilities:
- Month-end financial reporting for Order to Cash, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reports
- Preparation of monthly variance analysis and year to date year over year variance analysis
- Liaise with auditors, both internal and external
- Assisting with financial and tax audits
- Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
- Suggest, design and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency
- Manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ad hoc projects/tasks as requested by management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance; CPA or relevant accounting certification preferred with 3+ years post qualified experience
- Experience in a multinational environment
- A solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP
- Proven ability to manage the full GL cycle tasks independently. This includes preparing high-quality journal entries with robust supporting documentation and executing meticulous account reconciliations that consistently meet US SOX internal control standards without rework
- Excellent technical accounting skills, with a particular focus on revenue recognition and all areas of the order to cash process
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
