Our client, a leading organisation in the banking sector, is seeking a Senior Learning & Development Specialist for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a senior, hands‑on role focused on designing, delivering, and scaling high‑quality management and leadership development across the business.
The successful candidate will support team leads and middle management across all business areas, operating in a fast‑paced, high‑performance, high‑accountability environment. The role partners closely with senior leaders, HRBPs, and global L&D counterparts to deliver practical, outcome‑focused development solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and leadership challenges
- Design, build, and deliver multi‑module management and leadership development programmes
- Facilitate training sessions on an ongoing basis (high delivery expectation)
- Own programmes end‑to‑end: needs analysis, design, facilitation, evaluation, and refinement
- Create pragmatic toolkits, job aids, and learning resources for immediate on‑the‑job application
- Deliver engaging, credible, and challenging learning experiences, adapting in real time
- Collaborate closely with global L&D teams, including regular alignment with US counterparts
- Leverage existing global content while building strong internal programmes
- Manage external vendors where required, with a preference for internal capability building
- Support wider L&D initiatives and flex to evolving business needs
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience in Learning & Development with a minimum 5 years designing and delivering management and leadership development.
- Strong background in high‑performance environments.
- Highly credible facilitator with confidence engaging senior leaders.
- Strong consulting and stakeholder management.
- Comfortable operating within a everchanging, demanding and fast paced environment.
Qualifications & Desirable Experience
- Degree in HR, Psychology or related field
- Psychometric accreditation (DISC, Insights, MBTI)
- Coaching qualification
- Digital learning / eLearning design experience
