A leading financial services organisation is seeking an Analyst to join its Investment Dealing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone at an early stage of their career who has an interest in investments, strong analytical skills, and experience using tools such as Excel and Power BI (with VBA or Python an advantage).
The successful candidate will play a key role in improving management information (MI) and data visualisation, supporting better decision-making across the business. No formal investment knowledge is required, but curiosity about investments and investment funds would be beneficial. This is a strong opportunity to gain exposure to a specialist area within financial services while working as part of a collaborative and experienced team.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Performing data analysis and creating clear, impactful visualisations to enhance MI.
Working closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and help design and implement solutions.
Identifying opportunities to better utilise existing data and tools to support business decision-making.
Taking initiative to improve processes and help connect insights across different teams and functions.
Producing clear documentation for changes to existing processes and the development of new ones.
Contributing to reporting and analysis related to ESG / responsible investment (Article 8) fund propositions.
Experience using data tools such as Excel and Power BI.
Strong curiosity, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail.
A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in economics, finance, investments, mathematics, or a related discipline.
Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and analytical techniques.
A confident self-starter who can take guidance while also working independently.
