About the Role
Our Candidate is seeking a high-caliber Manager, External Manufacturing Finance to join our team in Ireland. This pivotal role acts as a strategic financial partner, managing complex financial portfolios across our external manufacturing network. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, you will be a key player in driving financial accuracy, product costing, and operational compliance.
This position offers significant exposure, requiring seamless, cross-functional collaboration with leadership and operational teams across both the US and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Serve as the lead finance colleague for the External Manufacturing team, with direct oversight of Subcontracting, Purchase Price Variance (PPV), and Freight.
- Reporting & Analysis: Drive the month-end closing process, delivering comprehensive financial reporting, variance analysis, and strategic trend commentary.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation, consolidation, and timely submission of the External Manufacturing (ExM) annual budget and routine financial projections.
- Product Costing: Own and manage product costing workflows across a highly diverse and complex portfolio of materials.
- Business Partnering: Act as the dedicated finance representative for the Virtual Plant Team, embedding financial insights into operational decision-making.
- Compliance & Controls: Prepare tolling reconciliations in strict alignment with corporate policies. Ensure robust SOX control compliance and facilitate internal/external audit requirements as needed.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify financial risks and accurately quantify operational risks to safeguard business performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Experience: Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 3+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Technical Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of standard product costing, financial analysis, GAAP/IFRS accounting principles, and internal control frameworks.
- Systems & Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. Prior hands-on experience with SAP ERP is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to dissect complex financial data, solve intricate problems, and deliver high-quality, value-added results under changing priorities.
