We have a very exciting opportunity for a strong Accounts Payable Manager with a leading IT company based in Dublin West.
The Accounts Payable Manager will lead all aspects of the accounts payable function, managing a small team, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely processing of payments and invoices. This role requires a proactive and innovative leader who can identify opportunities for improvement, streamline workflows, and champion change to elevate overall department performance.

Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the full AP cycle, from invoice receipt to payment.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing.
- Reconciling accounts to supplier statements on a regular basis to ensure accounts are kept up to date.
- Monitor outstanding payables and manage cash flow accordingly.
- Support the month-end close process, ensuring accurate recording of AP transactions, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices, payments, or vendor terms.
- Ensure internal controls are sufficient to prevent against fraud and error.
- Continuously assess existing processes to identify control gaps, compliance risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Implement and enhance AP processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilise accounting software and ERP systems to support automation.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations, including documentation of procedures
- Lead, mentor, and develop the AP team.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs of the AP team.
- Take corrective action if objectives or KPIs are not being met.
- Train new staff and provide ongoing support to existing team members
Person Specification & Experience:
- Relevant payables experience within a leadership capacity within a medium to large organisation
- Experience with payables process improvements, systems optimisation etc
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc) and ERP systems, with experience optimizing these tools.
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
