Finance Analyst

Our client is currently seeking a Finance Analyst to join their Finance team on a temporary basis in Kilkenny. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, this role sits within a team responsible for managing all aspects of supplier payments, delivering relevant system enhancements, providing supplier analytics and reporting (including forecasting support), and supporting the rollout of innovative supplier initiatives and financial solutions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the supplier payments process, processing deductions to supplier accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting, including the monthly issuance of supplier statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting and analysis of supplier volumes
- Processing third-party deductions
- Managing payments of deductions to the relevant third-party service providers
- Filing regular statutory and industry returns
- Preparing and issuing supplier invoices, statements, and remittances
- Uploading supplier statements to the online supplier portal
- Supporting accurate and timely bi-monthly supplier payments
- Assisting with valuation and payment processing activities
- Liaising with internal teams regarding supplier adjustments and deductions
- Supporting management with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
Key Requirements:
- Excellent IT skills, with strong proficiency in Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting systems.
- Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail and organisation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to process improvement
- Experience or knowledge of the dairy or agricultural sector would be advantageous
