Morgan McKinley are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics & Inventory Manager to take ownership of our end-to-end logistics operations - from inventory control and customs documentation to outbound distribution for our fast growing client based in West Cork. This is a key operational role ensuring our products are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time to customers across domestic and international markets.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, combining operational know-how with a passion for driving process improvement and continuous efficiency gains. You'll bring strong supply chain expertise, excellent team leadership skills, and ideally experience within the food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Inbound Logistics

Oversee daily inventory operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch.

Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular audits.

Implement and refine inventory control processes to minimise waste and uphold product quality.
Customs & Compliance

Manage all customs documentation, ensuring full compliance with import/export regulations.

Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and relevant regulatory authorities.

Stay informed on international trade and compliance developments.
Outbound Logistics

Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments to domestic and international customers.

Optimise transport routes and carrier performance for cost efficiency and reliability.

Manage cold chain logistics to ensure product integrity throughout distribution.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing warehouse and logistics team.

Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Take a hands-on approach while identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics and inventory management (food industry experience preferred).

Strong understanding of customs processes and international shipping.

Proven leadership experience in team management and cross-functional collaboration.

Proficiency with inventory management systems and ERP software.

Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
