About the Role
Our client, a leading Tier 1 Irish contractor with a strong portfolio of landmark projects, is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale high-rise apartment development in Cork City. This is a key role for a proven leader with the technical expertise and organisational skills to manage complex residential builds to the highest safety, quality, and programme standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day site operations on a high-rise apartment project.
- Manage subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
- Drive health & safety compliance, implementing and enforcing company policies across the site.
- Monitor quality control and ensure work is carried out to the required specifications.
- Develop and manage site programmes, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, Design Teams, and Clients to resolve issues promptly.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the site team to achieve best performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years' experience as a Site Manager
- Proven track record in managing large-scale residential or high-rise developments.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building regulations in Ireland.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant construction qualification (Degree, Diploma, or Trade background).
- A results-driven approach with the ability to thrive under pressure.
