Senior Quantity Surveyor - Tier 1 Main Contractor
Location: Cork City (Northside)
Salary: Up to €100,000 + Company Vehicle + Pension + Performance Bonus
An established Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Cork team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on the delivery of a landmark new school development on the north side of Cork City, while also supporting a strong pipeline of residential and commercial projects across Cork City and County.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of a major education project from construction through to final account, ensuring cost control, contractual compliance and commercial success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all commercial aspects of the project from commencement to completion.
- Preparing, reviewing and agreeing valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
- Cost planning, forecasting and reporting.
- Monitoring project budgets and identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance.
- Preparing monthly cost reports for senior management.
- Managing contractual issues in line with the relevant forms of contract.
- Working closely with project managers, site teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Supporting the commercial delivery of additional residential and commercial projects across Cork as required.
You will have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Proven experience delivering large-scale building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively within a project team.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
