The Production Operator is responsible for the safe operation, cleaning, and handover of Carbons processes, equipment, and areas to ensure the production of the Carbons product range within required quality specifications, in line with GMP, HSEQ, and operational standards and procedures. The role also covers the management of stock and stock-related activities within the assigned area.
General QMS Responsibilities (applicable to all employees):
Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and work instructions relevant to the role.
Adhere to the Quality & Food Safety Management System Policy and comply with requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and FSSC 22000.
Cooperate with internal and external auditors.
Support and contribute to continual improvement initiatives.
Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and participate in required training.
Undertake any other duties relevant to the role as required.
Production Responsibilities:
Organize and execute daily production activities in compliance with GMP and HSEQ best practices.
Operate, clean, and maintain assigned equipment and production areas, ensuring organization and readiness.
Verify and ensure calibration of equipment before use.
Sample intermediates and final products, performing in-process checks as required.
Carry out basic maintenance operations within area of responsibility.
Identify, report, and create notifications for maintenance issues.
Complete production documentation accurately, including batch records and logbooks.
Contribute to the review and improvement of production documentation (e.g., process sheets, SOPs).
Propose and support initiatives to improve and optimize production performance.
Team & Training Responsibilities:
Participate in the training and mentoring of new Operators (Production, GMP, HSEQ).
Support the integration of staff transferred from other areas.
Complete self-evaluations and, if applicable, contribute to evaluations of colleagues.
Safety, Sanitation & Security Responsibilities:
Adhere to site health, safety, and security regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
Maintain cleanliness, order, and compliance with 5S standards in dedicated work areas.
Perform health and safety duties as required to ensure a safe workplace.
