A leading industrial technology services provider is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Industrial Data Systems Engineer to help deliver and maintain real-time operational data solutions for high-compliance manufacturing environments. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting advanced data infrastructure and visualization platforms used to drive production insights and digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements:
- Design, configure, and deploy real-time data infrastructure components, including asset frameworks, data interfaces/connectors, and visualization tools.
- Integrate real-time data platforms with existing industrial control systems such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and other OT/IT systems.
- Develop and maintain asset models and analytics to enable actionable insights for operations and business stakeholders.
- Build and manage operational dashboards and reports for plant and management teams.
- Perform upgrades, system maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance and data integrity.
- Support data governance, security, and quality standards across real-time data systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide training and documentation to ensure effective system adoption.
- Contribute to project planning, testing, and commissioning phases for new or upgraded solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in real-time industrial data systems design, configuration, and support.
- Strong experience with data infrastructure platforms used for time-series data collection and visualization in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Proficiency in building asset models, dashboards, and data integrations with industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, etc.).
- Background working in regulated industries, such as pharmaceuticals or other GxP environments.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or VBScript) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
