Overview

On behalf of my client in Cork we are seeking a Data Scientist (3-5 years' experience) to join a Data Science and Analytics team on a 12-month FTC. The role focuses on delivering high-quality analytics, insights, and data solutions to support business decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver dashboards, KPIs, and data models using tools such as Power BI.
• Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines from data lake to analytics-ready formats.
• Analyse and report on performance metrics using digital analytics platforms.
• Perform advanced analysis including forecasting, pre/post analysis, causal inference, and ad-hoc investigations.
• Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data-driven decision-making.

Experience & Skills

• 3-5 years' experience in data science or advanced analytics roles.
• Strong SQL skills with Python and/or R.
• Experience with Power BI, Databricks, Google Analytics, and BigQuery.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and statistical analysis.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in fast-paced environments.
• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
