This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional to join a highly successful business that continues to invest in its people, technology, and supply chain capabilities. Working within a newly developed, purpose-built Logistics Hub, you will lead a small warehouse team while playing a key role in driving operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability & Supply Chain, you will lead by example, ensuring the warehouse operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
The Opportunity
As part of an exciting phase of supply chain transformation, our client has made significant investments in warehouse infrastructure and inventory management systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing enhanced warehouse processes, including goods-in scanning, lot-code traceability, and scan-based picking technologies, while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the warehouse team, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations.
- Oversee goods receiving, unloading, inventory transactions, stock control, and cycle counting activities.
- Ensure all inbound materials are processed accurately and recorded promptly to maintain inventory integrity.
- Drive high levels of stock accuracy through robust inventory management, regular cycle counts, and stock reconciliation.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Manage the timely and accurate issuing of materials to manufacturing operations.
- Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives, particularly in warehouse scanning technologies, inventory control, lot-code management, and traceability.
- Ensure full compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and operational policies.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture by maintaining safe working practices, carrying out equipment inspections, and ensuring the warehouse remains clean, organised, and compliant.
- Maintain warehouse security and ensure access is restricted to authorised personnel.
- Coach, develop, and motivate the warehouse team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
About You
- Third-level qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years' experience leading or supervising a busy warehouse operation.
- Strong experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), scanning technologies, inventory management, and lot-code traceability.
- Proven ability to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and implement best-practice stock control processes.
- Forklift licence with practical material handling experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams within a fast-paced operational environment.
