The National Broadband Plan (NBP) is the largest ever telecommunications project undertaken by the Irish State. It aims to radically transform the country's broadband landscape through the delivery of quality, affordable high-speed broadband to all parts of Ireland where such services are not available commercially.

The NBP will ensure that all people and businesses in the Intervention Area have access to a modern and reliable broadband network, capable of supporting the communications, information, education and entertainment requirements of current and future generations.

The network will be designed, built and operated by National Broadband Ireland, using a combination of State subsidy and commercial investment. It will make its services available to all of the rollout area, which accounts for 23% of the population in about approximately 537,000 homes, farms, schools and businesses.

Key Objectives / Accountabilities:

NBI is looking for an experienced Marketing Administrator who wants to jump in head-first and help scale a mission-driven company experiencing rapid growth.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer the purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Marketing & Communications Department, including but not limited to producing and managing the weekly reporting packs required to inform the business and our stakeholders of progress across the MarComms campaigns, including the administration of the regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders. The inputs to these reporting packs will be provided by the responsible team members including the individual Managers, their Teams and any supporting dependencies/workstreams.

This role requires a hands-on approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work to tight deadlines with a pragmatic approach! In return you become part of the team, building and delivering a high-speed broadband network to communities across Ireland, building a limitless Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely collation and management of reports, presentations, gantt charts, project plans, budget management etc for relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Timely gathering and dissemination of relevant information associated with project deliverables and workstream(s)
  • Proactively manage the key internal and external stakeholders of the Marketing & Communications Dept
  • Minute taking, agenda setting, organising files via various MS platforms.
  • Monitor expenditures, processes payment requests for reimbursement; prepares purchase orders, purchase requisitions and ensures proper procedures for paying service providers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Receives and audits invoices for accuracy and compliance and ensures prompt payment of departmental bills.
  • Handles event planning for meetings, professional development, and other department initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5+ years project administration support experience
  • Experience in telecommunications preferably with infrastructure deployments
  • Excellent computer skills including expert use of Microsoft Office 365 - specifically PowerPoint for data presentation and high level competency in Excel
  • Detail oriented and delivery focused
  • Appreciation for project management methodology, practices and controls
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle tasks in a fast paced deadline oriented environment
  • Strong team player
  • Interest and aptitude for using new software applications
  • Ability to generate reports from Microsoft Power BI an advantage
