Morgan McKinley is partnered with a leading medical device company embarking on a global SAP program, seeking a new SAP Global Master Data Lead

Job Description:

  • The ability to assess the master data's current state and create a future plan that is in line with stakeholder requests and business requirements (including identification of team structure)

  • Be responsible for creating the Global Rollout plan and establish a data migration policy and cutover strategy, coordinating the migration's execution, and specifying techniques and criteria for data verification

  • Defines, documents, and harmonises data quality rules, policies, approval procedures, critical metrics, availability rules, exception reports, and implements control plans with organisational stakeholders to guarantee that data is kept clean, accurate, and used, among other things.

  • Resolves complicated issues including architecture, strategy, and data needs, and adopts a new perspective on current solutions.

  • Controller of the Data Governance Process and Council

  • In charge of steady state activities, goals, and maybe leading projects or steps inside a larger project.

  • To accomplish organisational goals and deadlines, communicates reporting, information, and cultivates connections with industry experts and business partners.

  • Utilize client feedback, inquiries, and concerns to maintain data quality. You may also report metrics internally, evaluate and pinpoint problems, and frequently coordinate and implement corrections.

  • Recommend uniform business naming conventions for use across the organisation; create data definitions, regular computations, and business rules. Define techniques, standards, and perform data validation testing and periodic audit for data quality.

  • Become the company's go-to experts for anything involving data; they are in charge of guaranteeing the accuracy and reliability of the data, developing guidelines for the organisation to follow, and ensuring that data resources are used consistently throughout the organisation.

  • Establish yourself as a reliable resource who keeps the business compliant with changing data requirements, laws, and regulations.

  • Championing and articulating the necessity of data stewardship/master data management across all levels of the organisation, while educating staff and maintaining a pulse on new best practises and technology. Ensuring compliance and the security of the data. Data stewards are in charge of safeguarding the data while also disseminating knowledge about potential hazards and providing regulatory advice.

  • Determine possibilities for process and tool improvement

  • Promotes worldwide process uniformity through effective people management and a dedication to employee development

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or Masters degree in a relevant discipline;

  • 5+ years experience in a highly regulated environment.

  • Project Management or Six Sigma qualification preferred

Skills / Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience in leading data operations in a fast-paced work environment with strong analytical ability.

  • Must have led and implemented a global data migration process.

  • Experience dealing with complex data relationships and effectively communicating across a diverse team.

  • Recent experience with Tableau or similar visual analysis tool, optimization, analytics and large data sets, project management, developing visually compelling interactive dashboards.

  • Awareness/ understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and the interconnectedness of data flows to/from an ERP system (SAP) in the context of Supply chain, Manufacturing, Quality

  • Understanding of Design Control, Change Control, Product Life Cycle Management, Sustaining Changes and manufacturing transfers, including experience of cost savings and product / process improvement.

  • Strong people management skills

  • Expert judgment and problem solving ability

  • Excellent MS Office skills,

  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional Business Units,

  • Experience managing cross functional teams,

  • Ability to Perform and manage critical analysis of data.

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills,

  • Ability to solve complex problems, and be innovative,

  • Comfortable working with all levels of the organisation, including presentation to executive management,

  • Strong business acumen,
