Investment Management: For passive ETFs, the manager ensures the fund's holdings precisely track a specific benchmark index and minimizes tracking error. For actively managed ETFs, the manager makes discretionary buy, hold, and sell decisions to try to outperform a benchmark.
Operations: Manager handles daily portfolio activities, including trade execution, corporate actions, and cash flow management related to the creation and redemption of ETF shares by authorized participants (APs).
Risk Management: Implement risk assessment protocols, ensure diversification according to the fund's mandate, and monitor market conditions to mitigate volatility and potential losses.
Compliance and Reporting: Portfolio manager ensure adherence to regulatory standards (such as SEC guidelines in the US) and provide transparency through regular disclosures of fund holdings and performance reports to clients.
Client Relations: Manager may engage with institutional clients, participate in new product development, and support sales and marketing teams by communicating investment strategies and performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
Well versed in IOPV (Indicative Optimized Portfolio Value), PCF (portfolio composition file), In-Kind Creation/Redemption and fund valuation.
Solid experience gained in ETF portfolio management
Excellent command of Mandarin, fluent English and preferably fluent Cantonese
Good skills of Excel and preferably Python
