About the Client
Our client is a prominent investment bank with a strong regional presence in Hong Kong. They are currently looking for a C# Developer for middle office application.
It would be a 12 months extendable contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and support of in-house middle-office and front-office systems, ensuring high-performance interfaces for the firm's core trading operations.
- Perform full-cycle system analysis and implementation for new application enhancements, including the management of Excel-based tools for Equity Research departments.
- Execute comprehensive unit, functional, and integration testing to ensure system stability in accordance with stringent functional requirements.
- Collaborate with first-line support and internal infrastructure teams to provide rapid second-line troubleshooting and resolution for technical issues.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and impact assessments for new system solutions, providing clear recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Oversee the automation of deployment and release processes to improve operational efficiency and system reliability across regional offices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the investment banking or securities trading industry, with specific exposure to middle/back-office system support.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in C# development, combined with experience in Linux, Shell Scripting, and Excel VBA.
- Solid command of SQL Server and database design; experience with SSIS or Python is a significant advantage.
- Proven knowledge of equity trading operations and familiarity with financial data platforms like Bloomberg or Reuters.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
