ITOT Project Manager
Location: Athlone
Work Arrangement: 5 Days Per Week Onsite
Role Overview
Our client are seeking an experienced ITOT Project Manager to join our team in Athlone. This role serves as a critical bridge between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems. You will be responsible for leading and delivering essential technology projects, ensuring they are completed safely, compliantly, and in alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
You will act as the hub of communication, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, engineering, operations, automation, infrastructure teams, and external system integrators to coordinate the delivery of initiatives that support manufacturing, laboratory, utilities, and broader business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Own the delivery of assigned ITOT projects and work packages. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide guidance to work package owners, and ensure all objectives are met according to approved project governance and PMO standards.
- Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment on decision-making, and proactive escalation management.
- Project Governance: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including resource forecasts, budgets, risk registers, and documentation. Provide accurate, transparent status reporting on progress, costs, dependencies, and risks.
- Compliance & Operational Readiness: Ensure all project activities adhere to rigorous industry, safety, and cybersecurity standards, as well as regulatory and validation expectations. You will coordinate testing, commissioning, qualification, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and final handover to support successful operational readiness.
- Vendor Management: Oversee external suppliers and system integrators. You will ensure delivery against statements of work, monitor performance, and resolve issues to maintain strict contractual commitments and quality standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience delivering projects in IT and/or OT environments, particularly in plant networking, SCADA installations/upgrades, FMS/BMS deployments, data integration, or process equipment integration.
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, with practical application of governance, controls, and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience managing stakeholders across technical and operational groups, including effective communication with senior leadership.
- Solid background in pharmaceutical lifecycle processes within an FDA-regulated/GAMP environment, specifically regarding change management, commissioning, cutover, and operational readiness.
- Excellent documentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with PLC & SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, Schneider), Computerised Equipment, Ignition, ThinManager, and Aveva PI. Experience with MES solutions (e.g., PAS-X) is an advantage.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading both project management and vendor management activities.
- Design & Standards: Working knowledge of Active Directory application design and implementation.
- ITIL Processes: Knowledge of ITIL processes relating to project and service delivery (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
