    As an HR Operations Manager, you will act as a center of expertise across compensation & benefits, HR operations, talent acquisition, and development for a global healthcare organization in Japan. Working closely with senior HR leadership, you will drive operational excellence, streamline HR processes, and support business strategy through data-driven and scalable HR initiatives. This role offers strong visibility and impact within a mission-driven pharmaceutical and life sciences environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee HR shared services operations, including payroll, social insurance, HRIS, onboarding, and offboarding, in collaboration with external vendors.
    • Lead HR projects aimed at process optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
    • Partner closely with the HR Director as a trusted advisor, contributing to enhanced HR practices and decision-making.
    • Execute HR initiatives aligned with overall business strategy and organizational priorities.
    • Drive annual HR cycles such as performance management, succession planning, and talent flow in collaboration with HR Business Partners.
    • Manage and evolve employee engagement initiatives, including company-wide engagement surveys.
    • Lead talent development and leadership programs to strengthen organizational capability in Japan.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree or above.
    • Minimum 5 years of HR experience across one or more functions, including HR operations, compensation & benefits, talent acquisition, or talent development.
    Soft Skills:
    • Strong business judgment supported by logical and data-driven analysis.
    • Ability to leverage HR data and analytics to support informed decision-making.
    • Capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
    • Professional stakeholder management skills with a respectful and partnership-driven approach.
    Language Requirements:
    • Japanese: Native level.
    • English: Intermediate to Business level.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience working in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or healthcare-related industries.
    • Exposure to global HR operating models or regional HR shared services structures.
