We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of a Core Data Platform and Permission Management System for one of Japan's leading technology companies. This is an exciting opportunity to drive enterprise-scale cloud platform initiatives that support thousands of internal users across a global organisation. You'll work closely with engineering, business, and cross-functional teams to shape product strategy, deliver innovative solutions, and improve platform performance, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the enterprise Core Data Platform and Permission Management System.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and deliver scalable, innovative product solutions.
- Prioritise and manage the product backlog while continuously improving platform quality, security, and performance.
- Drive product innovation by introducing modern product management methodologies and Agile best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a Scrum Product Owner or Product Manager in an Agile environment.
- Strong technical knowledge with experience writing product specifications and managing technical requirements.
- Demonstrated success working closely with software engineering teams to deliver high-quality products.
- Experience with enterprise platforms, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale software products is highly desirable.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-changing Agile environment.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus across diverse teams.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Basic level.
- English: Business-level proficiency.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience serving as a Product Owner for large-scale infrastructure or cloud platform products.
- Software development background or strong understanding of modern software engineering practices.
- Experience leading Agile transformations or supporting the transition from Waterfall to Agile methodologies.
- Proven ability to balance competing stakeholder priorities while delivering business value.
