Join a global fashion and retail company as a Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Manager supporting the Japan and Korea business units. In this strategic role, you will act as a trusted partner to HR leadership and business stakeholders, designing competitive Total Rewards programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent. From managing complex equity programs and incentive schemes to shaping regional benefits strategies, this role is ideal for a professional who combines data-driven insights with strong relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional benefits review projects including insurance and retirement plans to enhance employee offerings and introduce flexible benefit designs.
- Manage broad Total Rewards initiatives, including compensation program design, optimization, and cross-border reward packages.
- Act as a strategic advisor to HR Business Partners and senior leadership on compensation strategies and HR policies.
- Oversee the year-end compensation cycle, including salary reviews, bonus allocations, and equity award recommendations.
- Provide expertise on global equity programs, including guidance on taxation and employee communication.
- Manage the regional Job Architecture Framework to maintain fair job leveling and internal equity across the organization.
- Support the design of incentive and variable pay programs tailored specifically for retail store populations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, or related HR roles.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience working within multinational companies or international headquarters environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
Soft Skills:
- Strong negotiation and compromise skills when addressing complex compensation topics.
- Ability to clearly communicate and navigate sensitive discussions related to compensation, benefits, and labor law.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic HR recommendations.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Fluent
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- WorldatWork (WAW) certification or similar professional credentials in compensation.
- Experience mentoring junior HR professionals and influencing decisions within matrixed organizations.
- Proven ability to deliver innovative human capital solutions to complex organizational challenges.
