An innovative global Healthcare and Life Sciences company is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to lead and develop the HR function in Japan.
This is a rare opportunity to serve as the primary HR leader and trusted advisor for the Japan business, partnering directly with senior management to drive people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and business growth. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead HR representative and key decision-maker for all HR matters in Japan.
- Develop and implement people strategies aligned with business goals and organizational growth plans.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
- Lead performance management processes, talent reviews, and succession planning activities.
- Manage employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with company policies and local labor regulations.
- Support workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.
- Lead talent management and leadership development programs.
- Promote Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the organization.
- Oversee HR operations and continuously improve HR processes and policies.
- Partner with global HR teams to implement regional and global people programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, or related HR functions.
- Strong experience translating business needs into effective HR strategies, policies, and programs.
- Proven ability to manage complex employee relations and organizational challenges.
- Experience supporting senior business leaders and influencing key stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of talent management, workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development.
- Experience working within multinational or global organizations is highly desirable.

- Experience supporting organizational growth, transformation, or change management initiatives.
- Knowledge of DEI best practices and employee engagement strategies.
- Exposure to regional or global HR programs and talent initiatives.
- Professional HR certifications are advantageous.
