A global financial institution is hiring an AML Advisory Manager in a newly created role to help shape its Financial Crime Compliance strategy. You will lead advisory functions and oversee governance, risk, and controls (GRC), playing a key part in strengthening enterprise-wide compliance efforts. This is a strategic role with high visibility, ideal for professionals who want to make a tangible impact under a new leadership structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AML advisory and manage GRC activities within the financial crime compliance framework
- Advise senior stakeholders on AML, sanctions, and anti-bribery risks and controls
- Provide expert input on regulatory change management, new business initiatives, and product compliance
- Continuously improve internal AML policies, frameworks, and training initiatives
- Support global and enterprise-wide AML programs and coordinate with international compliance teams
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to ensure program alignment
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3-5 years of AML advisory experience, with team leadership exposure
- Deep understanding of Japan's AML, sanctions, and anti-bribery compliance environment
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent (native-level)
- English: Fluent (business-level)
Soft Skills:
- Strategic mindset with strong communication and advisory capabilities
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- AML certification (e.g., CAMS)
- Experience in global or cross-border compliance programs
