We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain planning activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving production planning, inventory optimisation, capacity management, and cross-functional supply chain coordination to ensure operational efficiency and customer service excellence.
The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capability with leadership, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and long-range planning processes.
- Develop and manage detailed production schedules aligned to customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure effective supply chain coordination and delivery performance.
- Monitor and optimise inventory levels to balance material availability, production continuity, and cost control.
- Conduct supply chain scenario planning and risk analysis to support business decision-making.
- Drive capacity planning and inventory management initiatives across operations.
- Support core planning activities including Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Track, analyse, and report operational and planning performance metrics.
- Participate in wider supply chain and network planning initiatives to improve integration and service levels.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within planning and supply chain processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all planning activities.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience within a manufacturing or supply chain planning environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, with SAP experience highly desirable.
- Proven leadership and team collaboration capabilities.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to adapt planning strategies within changing business environments.
- Experience managing inventory, production planning, and supply chain optimisation activities.
