This is an excellent opportunity for a driven operations professional to join a growing organisation where they will play a key role in leading warehouse, inventory, transport, and distribution operations.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective warehouse and logistics operations while ensuring exceptional service levels, operational excellence, and full compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Operations function, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including goods receipt, inventory management, storage, dispatch, transport coordination, and third-party logistics management. You will lead a high-performing team while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, including goods receipt, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy and product traceability through robust warehouse processes and systems.
- Coordinate domestic and international logistics activities to deliver products safely, on time, and in the most cost-effective manner.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, freight partners, and transport suppliers to ensure service excellence.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise warehouse performance, efficiency, and operating costs.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, health & safety, and regulatory standards.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop warehouse personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP processes, ensuring accurate reporting and operational effectiveness.
- Manage fleet compliance, vehicle maintenance schedules, and associated transport requirements where applicable.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Procurement, Quality, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
About You
The successful candidate will be a proactive and hands-on warehouse and logistics leader with a strong background in manufacturing, food production, or FMCG environments. You will have a proven ability to lead teams, improve operational performance, and deliver best-in-class warehouse and logistics solutions in a highly regulated setting.
Skills & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years' experience in a Warehouse & Logistics Management role.
- Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or another regulated production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
- Solid understanding of food safety and quality standards, including BRCGS, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and ISO standards.
- Experience implementing Lean, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering measurable operational improvements.
