We are seeking a highly motivated Cyber Security Engineer (Automation & Integration) to join our client who is growing their engineering and security team. This role focuses on designing, building, and integrating cybersecurity automation solutions across enterprise security platforms and environments.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong programming and scripting skills, a solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, and experience working with security tools, APIs, and enterprise integrations. You will play a key role in developing scalable security automation, improving operational efficiency, and enabling advanced security capabilities for enterprise and government customers.
Key Responsibilities
Security Automation & Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain cybersecurity automation scripts, tools, and applications
- Build and enhance integrations between security platforms, enterprise systems, and cloud services
- Automate security operations workflows including alert handling, enrichment, and response actions
- Develop custom dashboards, reporting tools, and security data visualisation solutions
- Create API-based integrations for security platforms and enterprise systems
- Enhance internal security engineering tools, portals, and automation frameworks
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields
- 2-5 years of experience in software development, IT, or cybersecurity-related roles
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and security operations
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, or vulnerability management solutions
- Understanding of APIs and system integration concepts
- Awareness of authentication methods (e.g. API keys, tokens, OAuth)
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows environments
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Exposure to enterprise IT environments and security infrastructure is an advantage
- Interest in automation, integration, and security technologies
- Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced technical environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently when required
