Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review payroll-related financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Perform payroll reconciliations, month-end journals, and balance sheet reviews.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements.
- Analyse payroll costs, investigate variances, and provide insights to key stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate processing and reporting of payroll data.
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other business functions to resolve payroll-related queries.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
- Previous experience in payroll, payroll accounting, or a finance role with significant payroll exposure.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with finance systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
