About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their fast-paced payroll team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with at least 3 years of payroll processing experience looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management: Efficiently manage a portfolio of clients across various pay frequencies.
- Payroll Processing & Reporting: Reconcile, complete, and distribute comprehensive payroll reports to clients and third-party vendors.
- Compliance & Tax Administration:
- Ensure full compliance with all PAYE, PRSI, and USC statutory obligations.
- Timely execute additional reporting, including Pensions and General Ledger reports.
- Handle accurate submissions, statement acknowledgments, and payments via the Revenue Online Service (ROS).
- Prepare and submit Central Statistics Office (CSO) returns.
- Client Relationship & Service: Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, delivering responsive, friendly, and high-quality customer service.
- Team Collaboration & Support: Assist colleagues with reviews, act as backup for payroll processing, and support ad-hoc team tasks.
- Process Improvement & Auditing:
- Continuously review existing payroll workflows to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
- Support internal and external payroll audits.
- Contribute innovative ideas to drive positive change within the department.
- Governance & Confidentiality: Maintain strict data protection, audit compliance, risk control, and confidentiality regarding all sensitive information.
- Internal Tracking: Complete monthly metrics and internal reporting requirements as they arise.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Required:
- Experience: 3+ years of high-volume payroll processing experience (bureau or shared services environment preferred).
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Irish payroll processing, including PAYE, PRSI, and USC regulations.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced proficiency in Excel, along with Outlook and Teams).
- Core Competencies:

- Proven ability to work under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong team-oriented mindset.
Preferred:
- Qualifications: IPASS or an accounting-related qualification is a distinct advantage.
- Software: Hands-on experience with payroll software such as Megapay or Sage.
