A fast-growing professional services practice in Ireland is expanding its Audit team and is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit professional to take responsibility for a significant portfolio of work, work closely with senior stakeholders, and play an active role in developing both clients and colleagues.
The role
The Audit Manager will take primary responsibility for managing a significant audit client with multiple audits across several international groups, working closely with the relevant Partners/Responsible Individuals to ensure assignments are delivered to a high standard.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a significant and complex audit client portfolio, including multiple entities and international groups.
- Working closely with Partners/Responsible Individuals and providing regular updates on engagement progress, risks and key issues.
- Managing smaller audit engagements as required.
- Taking responsibility for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Ensuring assignments are completed efficiently and within agreed budgets and timelines.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior and senior team members.
- Ensuring audit quality control procedures and professional standards are consistently met.
- Presenting completed work to Partners in a clear, complete and finalised format.
- Providing a proactive, commercially focused service and ensuring client needs are fully addressed.
- Identifying technical issues, risks and opportunities and communicating these to Partners.
- Supporting the development of existing client relationships and identifying opportunities to broaden the firm's offering.
- Building strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and external professional contacts.
- Representing the firm at networking and business development events.
- Maintaining professional development and continuing professional education.
- Consulting with colleagues and Partners on technical, risk and audit matters.
- Supporting the wider team and working effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Assisting with the training and development of team members.
- Coaching, mentoring, appraising and motivating junior colleagues.
Experience & qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 2 years' post-qualified experience (PQE), or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong audit and financial reporting experience.
- Practical experience using CaseWare for audit and accounts preparation.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting under FRS 102 and IFRS.
- Experience managing and developing a client portfolio.
- Proven experience coaching and mentoring colleagues.
- Good commercial awareness and experience contributing to business development.
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines and budgets.
Experience auditing businesses operating within the digital assets sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
An interest in technology and how technology can be used to improve audit efficiency and delivery would also be beneficial.
