Our Client is seeking a professional, friendly, and motivated Customer Service Representative / Cashier to join their branch team based in West Cork on a 12-month contract. Serving as the primary point of contact within the branch, the successful candidate will play a vital role in providing outstanding service to the local clientele, managing routine financial transactions, and assisting with overall daily operations. Provide a welcoming and professional experience for all visitors, addressing face-to-face, telephonic, and email enquiries efficiently
Handle routine retail transactions, including withdrawals, lodgements, and bill payments, ensuring high levels of accuracy and precise daily till balancing
Recognise client requirements and proactively guide them towards relevant savings, mortgage, and insurance services, scheduling consultations with internal specialist advisers
Adhere strictly to Central Bank regulations, ensuring compliance with data protection, Know Your Customer, and Anti-Money Laundering protocols
Assist customers in adopting and navigating digital and automated banking platforms
Prior experience in a fast-paced cash-handling environment, face-to-face customer service, or retail banking is required
Excellent attention to detail combined with strong numerical capability and proficiency in standard IT applications
An APA or QFA qualification is a distinct advantage, though not mandatory for entry-level cash-handling duties
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural capability to engage and build rapport with the local community
Little to no notice period, with the ability to commence a contract role swiftly
