Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Materials Planner to join a leading manufacturing organisation. This is an 18 month contract based in Wexford.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials required for production and operations while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Balancing supply and demand, manages purchase planning while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan, schedule, and monitor material requirements based on production plans, forecasts, and customer demand
- Generate and manage purchase requisitions and planned orders
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages, excess, and obsolescence
- Coordinate with procurement, production, engineering, logistics, and suppliers to ensure on-time material availability
- Track supplier performance and escalate risks related to delays, shortages, or quality issues
- Analyze demand variability and adjust plans accordingly
- Support production scheduling by resolving material constraints
- Maintain accurate master data in ERP/MRP systems
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, inventory, and supply chain efficiency
Key Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain roles in a high volume manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field)
- Proficiency in SAP
