The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Accountant who wants to move away from high-volume accounts preparation and step into a portfolio management and review-focused role.
You will manage a dedicated block of fees, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, while taking ownership of the review process to bring accounts and tax returns to final completion. Crucially, you will be a leader and mentor, managing and developing the junior staff members working within your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a dedicated portfolio of clients ensuring high-quality service delivery and maintaining strong, proactive client relationships.
- Review financial statements and tax returns prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and bringing them to completion and filing.
- Utilise a strong working knowledge of Irish tax to oversee routine CT and IT computations. You will also handle more specialised elements including CGT and CAT computations and ad-hoc tax planning.
- Manage junior staff workloads, provide hands-on training, and foster a supportive environment to help the team develop their skills.
- Work closely with the management team to implement efficient workflows and contribute to the firm's ongoing growth.
What We Are Looking For
- ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in an Irish accountancy practice.
- Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to manage, mentor, and inspire junior colleagues.
- Fluent professional level English is essential
