The Research & Development department is an integral part of the investment management firm which works in a structured manner to build models and sub-models for investments aligned with the highly effective Man and Machine investment process. The position of Research Analyst is within the Research & Structuring team, which works under Research & Structuring Manager and reports to the Chief of R&D.
The analyst role in R&D department requires you to become proficient in conducting research in a formal environment with product development under a corporate program. You will be given training on the firms global models including asset allocation, asset classes, and investment management across all asset classes as well as the asset class investment models themselves.
In particular, you shall work on factors and sub-models, including comprehensive Product / Process / related to:
Asset Allocation
Asset class models
Macroeconomic models
Trading models
The Research Analyst works in team led by Research & Structuring Manager, who is responsible for the research products and different factors, standard sub-models used in the optimal models and investment products. The Research Analyst need to interact with asset class specialists for developing, testing, documenting and implementing algorithms and sub-models for strategic and tactical asset allocations and asset class models. In addition, the Research Analyst works closely with the key external parties, including investment management, investment operations teams and Corporate Program Management teams to deliver projects on time with accuracy and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications and candidate profile
Masters or Graduate Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Science.
Advantageous to have CFA, CPA, FRM certifications or equivalent additional qualifications.
0-4 years of relevant experience and track record in the financial services sector as quantitative analyst. Having experience of product development will be advantageous.
Strong understanding of global financial environment, asset classes, research, structuring.
Exposure and experience of technical platforms, statistical packages and data sources.
