Our client, a public sector organisation involved in the management of clinical litigation claims on behalf of the State, is seeking to recruit a Clinical Litigation Solicitor for a 12-month fixed-term contract on a hybrid working arrangement in Dublin City Centre. This role is based within a specialist legal unit that deals with complex clinical negligence claims and inquests arising from healthcare services provided in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a designated portfolio of clinical litigation and/or inquest files.
- Provide timely and practical legal advice to clients.
- Maintain strong client relationships across the healthcare and public sector.
- Assist in legal strategy and case progression in a fair and ethical manner.
- Keep abreast of developments in litigation and healthcare law.
- Support the Head of Clinical Litigation and contribute to team objectives.
- Carry out additional legal tasks as may be required.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience as a solicitor.
- Strong background in personal injury litigation related to clinical care or medical negligence.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Knowledge:
- Must be qualified to practise as a solicitor in Ireland.
- Knowledge of the Irish public health sector is desirable but not essential.
