    This ambitious, fast-growing startup are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to work directly with the Managing Director and Directors to lead the next phase of growth.

    This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys building and scaling businesses, and is excited by the opportunity to help shape strategy while running day-to-day operations. You will play a critical role in transitioning the business through this growth phase, while leveraging the wider Group's extensive customer base and industry connections.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the business, working closely with sales, electrical, finance, and marketing teams.
    • Directly manage the technical teams, ensuring high standards of performance, safety, and delivery.
    • Work with the Directors to develop business strategy, budgets, and growth plans, and take full responsibility for implementing them.
    • Produce and manage budgets, cashflow forecasts, and provide monthly performance updates to the Board.
    • Oversee purchasing, stock control, stock management, and asset management.
    • Drive operational efficiency through the effective use of systems and processes.
    • Support and lead the scaling of the business.
    • Maximise opportunities arising from the Group's existing customer base and industry relationships.
    • Act as a key point of contact with external bodies and other regulatory or industry stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in a senior management role within a growing SME, ideally with experience growing and scaling a business.
    • Strong ambition and drive, with an entrepreneurial mindset aligned with business owners.
    • A technical mindset, with the ability to confidently liaise with regulatory and industry bodies.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong financial acumen, with experience producing budgets and reporting performance at board level.
    • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
