Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Site Manager to oversee the daily delivery of a €2M-€3M commercial project.
As the primary lead on-site, you will take full operational ownership of the day-to-day management, driving trade subcontractors, maintaining high standard safety and quality protocols, and ensuring strict adherence to project schedules and company processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive manager to run a dynamic, lean site team with support from visiting Quantity Surveying and EHS specialists.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Site Management & Operations: Take complete ownership of daily site activities, managing resources and maintaining the overall construction programme to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Actively drive, direct, and supervise trade subcontractors, fostering a collaborative on-site environment while holding teams accountable to schedule, quality, and safety standards.
- Quality & HSEQ Standards: Enforce company Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality management systems. Prepare site logs and documentation for weekly visits from the EHS Manager and Quantity Surveyor.
- Progress & Client Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact on-site, maintaining clear communication with client representatives, design consultants, and internal project managers through regular walk-throughs and detailed reporting.
- Cost & Material Control: Assist the visiting QS in tracking materials, variations, and site-level efficiencies to keep the project within budget.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager successfully delivering commercial, administrative, or fit-out projects in the €1M-€5M range within Ireland.
- Leadership & Autonomy: Strong ability to run a site independently and solve operational issues proactively without requiring a large permanent on-site management footprint.
- Certifications: Valid Safe Pass, CSCS card (or equivalent Irish accreditation), and First Aid at Work qualification.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to lead teams effectively and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Education: Degree/Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related trade background preferred.
