Business Analyst

6 Month Contract

3 Days a week onsite in Cork.

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst with a strong foundation in requirements gathering and a passion for data. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of business strategy and Product and technical teams. You'll be responsible for translating high-level business goals into detailed requirements, ensuring our projects provide accurate and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
• Translate business needs into well-structured User Stories with clear, testable Acceptance Criteria.
• Act as the bridge between business users and Product teams to ensure data models meet reporting requirements.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog within Jira, ensuring tasks are refined and ready for development sprints.
• Document "As-Is" and "To-Be" data flows and business processes using Confluence and visual mapping tools.
• Perform basic data profiling and validation to ensure delivered solutions align with the original business requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a Business Analyst role.
• Deep familiarity with the Agile lifecycle and heavy experience using Jira for task management and Confluence for documentation.
• Strong "active listening" skills and the ability to challenge stakeholders constructively to find the root cause of a problem.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and performing basic data analysis to support business cases.

• Experience working on Data Analytics, Business Intelligence (BI), or Data Migration projects would be a plus.
• Exposure to data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
