IT Integration Engineer - Architect

My client is looking to hire an IT Engineer/ Architect on a 9-month daily rate contract, to lead the technical integration of an acquired business into a global enterprise IT environment. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role responsible for end-to-end alignment of core systems including identity, email, collaboration, and endpoint management.

You will act as the technical owner for the integration plan, working closely with internal leadership and enterprise IT & Security teams. The role requires strong technical judgement, the ability to assess impact and dependencies, and clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A key priority is ensuring business continuity and protecting customer commitments throughout the transition.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assessing existing IT systems (identity, email, collaboration tools, SaaS integrations, MDM, endpoint security) and documenting dependencies and data flows

• Collaborating with enterprise IT & Security teams on requirements, standards, and timelines

• Designing and implementing identity federation and directory synchronisation

• Planning, testing, and executing:

  • Email and calendar migrations

  • File storage migrations (cloud collaboration platforms)

  • Endpoint device management migrations (Mac & Windows)

• Producing technical documentation, impact assessments, and realistic delivery timelines

• Identifying risks and dependencies early, with clear mitigation strategies

• Providing hands-on troubleshooting and support during transition phases

Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience administering Google Workspace (directory, mail routing, security)

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online, including migration and hybrid scenarios
