    Overview

    A global digital organisation's response team plays a critical role in safeguarding users and businesses across large-scale online platforms. As a Trust & Safety Specialist, the role focuses on protecting users from harmful content, malicious actors, and emerging risks, while contributing to a safe and trusted digital environment.

    This position involves working on real-time incidents, investigating risks, and collaborating with international teams to enhance safety systems, policies, and operational processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review, investigate, and resolve escalations involving harmful or policy-violating content across multiple platform surfaces (including user-generated content, advertising, and commerce)
    • Interpret and enforce platform policies, including content, advertising, and commerce guidelines
    • Monitor content trends and proactively identify emerging risks, with a focus on Gulf and Iraqi Kurdish markets
    • Act as a regional subject matter expert, applying cultural context and language nuance to risk detection
    • Conduct in-depth investigations and flag potential threats or violations
    • Accurately document findings and contribute to enforcement actions and policy improvements
    • Utilise internal AI tools and systems to support content review and risk analysis
    • Analyse escalation and review data to generate insights and improve workflows, tools, and policies
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Policy, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Operations
    • Support operational delivery to ensure KPIs and SLAs are consistently met or exceeded
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects
    • Participate in a global team environment, including occasional on-call or weekend support

    Typical Day

    • Reviewing escalated content and resolving platform-related issues
    • Monitoring regional trends and identifying emerging risks
    • Investigating complex and sensitive cases
    • Collaborating with internal stakeholders on escalations and projects
    • Using tools and data to improve decision-making and operational workflows

    Performance Metrics

    • Adherence to SLAs and escalation response timelines
    • Quality and accuracy of decisions and investigations
    • Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
    • Contribution to operational insights and process improvements

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Fluency in Kurdish (Sorani dialect) and Arabic (mandatory)
    • 5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, online operations, consulting, or similar roles
    • Strong understanding of content moderation and policy enforcement
    • Ability to handle graphic or sensitive content professionally
    • Strong analytical skills, including experience with tools such as Excel or SQL
    • Proven ability to make decisions under pressure and manage competing priorities
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Background in Quality Assurance or Quality Operations
    • Experience improving processes, policies, or workflows
    • Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities
